Day 1
Kathmandu to Chauraudi

We will meet you at 6.30am at our office in Bagbazar Kathmandu, then catch the bus at 7am where we’ll drive for approx 3.5 hours to Chauraudi our place to begin. From here our guides will spring into action, unloading the bus and getting the rafting gear ready.

Day 2
Campfire, Kayaking and return back to Kathmandu

Every one are given a life vest, helmet and paddle. you may be able to grow to be your river clothes and have a fast cup of tea before the journey begins.

We then head to the river for our detailed safety briefing. we’ll enjoy an incredible day of rafting and a picnic lunch on an unspoiled beach. Big, bouncy, splashy fun! Just after lunch you may be greeted by the 8 main rapids of the river…’Ladies Delight, Monsoon, Landslide, Upset 1, Upset 2, Butterfly, Bezuli, and Surprise’. confirm your your holding on because these are big bouncy rapids! we’ll raft 20km through the valley. The river is wide and there are opportunities to identify monkeys playing on the banks as we travel down. we’ll pass local fisherman and kids walking to high school as they shout ‘bye bye’ to the passing raft. For those brave enough, just before we reach our camp, there’s a 10ft cliff jump which for several could be a highlight.

We will then pull up to our camp, where you may be welcomed with a hot coco, camp fire and pop corn whilst the guides rustle you up a treat for your dinner. You’ll be able to change in one amongst our bamboo huts and relax by our swimming bath. Enjoy the evening at our river side camp star gazing and enjoying the campfire. Our raft guides magically convert into musicians and infrequently play traditional Nepali music round the campfire.

The Trip Cost Includes

  • All staff, including highly qualified & licensed Guides and professional Safety Kayakers all fluent in English and holding up so far aid Qualifications.
  • All camping equipment including toilet tents, shelters, matresses, sleeping bags, tarps, personal tents etc. No additional charge for bag hire.

  • All equipment, including PFD’s, helmets, dry tops, throw bags, dry bags, pelican boxes, wetsuits, paddles, etc all at international standards and often checked.

The Trip Cost Excludes

  • Travel insurance. To travel with GRG’s you are required to have adequate insurance for the activity you are participating in, we have the necessary insurance for our crew but you must have your own seperate policy)
